Austin isn't known as the "live music capital of the world" for nothin'. Rockabilly, punk, blues, electronica, folk and good ol' honky tonk abound.

From the South (Airport)
Take a left onto Hwy 71 and go for a few miles until the intersection of 71 and Highway I-35. At 35, take a right and continue into downtown. Once in the downtown area, exit 8th Street and turn west, or left. frog is at the intersection of 8th and Congress on the Northwest corner.
From the North
From Dallas, just continue on I-35 to downtown. From Houston, exit from 290 on to I-35 and head South, or left. Exit 8th Street to the right and continue on to Congress Avenue. frog is at the intersection of 8th and Congress on the Northwest corner.
Parking
Park wherever you can. Metered should be available for short-term parking, but you'll have to remember to feed your meter (they're heavily patrolled). There are many pay-parking lots around as well. One is at 7th and Congress on the Southeast corner.
